Gerüstbau Witte was founded in 1948 and is headquartered in Cologne. The company is a third-generation family-owned scaffolding company specialising in the attractive niche of overhead line construction with further pillars in the areas of facade and industrial scaffolding. In overhead line construction, Witte is active nationwide and one of the national market leaders that counts all relevant national and international overhead line constructors as well as electricity network operators among its customer base. Witte’s services are thereby essential for the further build-out of the German electricity network and therefore for the success of the German energy transition.
With the sale of its company to Nietiedt, the Döring family has found an also third generation family-owned partner, that has many years of experience in the industry and a strong track record in the integration and long-term development of acquired companies. By entering the attractive and cyclically resilient growth market of overhead line construction, Nietiedt is also reducing its dependence on the more cyclical industrial scaffolding business.
Nietiedt is headquartered in Wilhelmshaven and consists of three operating companies, active in the areas of scaffolding, surface technology and painting, as well as steel and metal construction. In the scaffolding sector, Nietiedt has nine locations to date, with the geographical focus on northern and western Germany.
